What is Bio-Tura?
Bio-Tura consists of small capsules with friendly intestinal bacteria, also called probiotics. Each capsule contains 4 billion live bacteria divided into two strains of lactic acid bacteria of the type: Lactobacillus acidophilus (La-2) and Bifidobacterium lactis (BD-12). The size of the capsules makes them easy to swallow.
Use of Bio-Tura
Bio-Tura capsules are particularly useful on trips to areas of the world where you are exposed to a foreign bacterial flora. They are stable at room temperature. Start with Bio-Tura a few weeks before departure. One can also take Bio-Tura in situations associated with a low number of intestinal bacteria. Finally, Bio-Tura can be taken as an aid to maintaining the normal intestinal flora.Bio-Tura and fiber
To give the intestinal flora the best living conditions, you should eat a diet rich in dietary fiber and healthy carbohydrates. Bio-Tura can be advantageously combined with the preparation Bio-Fiber.No gluten or MSG
Bio-Tura contains no animal ingredients and is therefore suitable for vegetarians and vegans. They also do not contain gluten or MSG (monosodium glutamate) perhaps better known as the third spice. Bio-Tura is not recommended for people with an allergy to milk protein.Effective protection of the bacteria
Many probiotic products fail to deliver sufficient viable bacteria to the small intestine because the bacteria are killed by the strong stomach acid before they reach their destination. To ensure that the living bacteria reach the small intestine in good condition, it is therefore necessary to protect them from the factors that can destroy them. The bacteria must be protected from the moment they are manufactured and put into capsules until they reach the consumer and are consumed. In fact, the protection must be so effective that it can ensure that the bacteria are still alive and active when they get through the strong stomach acid and end up in the intestinal system, where they have their effect. The lactic acid bacteria in Bio-Tura are partly developed to better withstand the acidic environment in the stomach, but also treated with a special cryo-technology that ensures that the bacteria do not die, but are in a dormant state. Along with the encapsulation, this ensures that they are only released and brought to life once they have reached their destination. The bacteria in Bio-Tura do not pass through the intestinal wall, but are able to colonize in the intestine.About lactic acid bacteria
Our gut flora is established at birth, and it changes throughout our lives. As infants, our intestinal flora consists mainly of bifidobacteria. Breast milk contains prebiotic substances that promote the growth of these bacteria. Adults usually contain approx. 100 billion bacteria per gram of intestinal content in the large intestine, and lactic acid bacteria form an important part of this. The total weight of a normal amount of intestinal bacteria is about 1,5 kg.
Exposed intestinal flora
Some people have fewer bacteria in their gut than average. The number of lactic acid bacteria in our gut is negatively affected by factors such as smoking, alcohol, medication (especially antibiotics), disease-causing bacteria (from food or air) and stress. Our eating habits also affect the composition of our intestinal flora. The functions of the intestinal flora
Lactic acid bacteria have many different functions in the intestine. They help break down starch and fiber from the diet, they produce some vitamins and short-chain fatty acids. They communicate with the many nerve cells, immune cells and hormone-producing cells in the intestine. They also form a multitude of bioactive substances that enter the blood and affect our biology in countless ways.Mandatory text for dietary supplements
