Equazen mumomega fish oil for pregnant and lactating mothers - Dietary supplements. The mother's intake of DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) contributes to the normal development of the brain and eyes of the fetus and breastfed infants. The beneficial effect is achieved by a daily intake of 200mg DHA in addition to the recommended daily intake of omega-3 fatty acids for adults, ie. 250mg DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) and EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid).
