Item description

The name wormwood is originally Swedish and means moth herb. The plant both smells and tastes strong and bitter. The Latin name for garden wormwood Artemisia absinthium comes from a Latin word for bitter, and the plant is also a very bitter herb, which i.a. used in absinthe and schnapps. Throughout the ages, wormwood has been used in wine and spirits. It is especially leaves and buds that are aromatic and used, and a single branch in wine or schnapps for a few days gives a fine, bitter taste. Powdered wormwood is available in capsules here.
