Physical sunscreens, such as thiosol, work by placing a film on the skin that reflects and scatters the UV rays, thereby protecting the skin. The active substance in Tiosol is the natural mineral titanium dioxide in non-nano form. Thiosol can be added to finished products such as oil, cream and lotion or it can be used as an active ingredient in homemade sunscreen and sun protection products, where it is used as part of the fat phase or the final phase. Suitable for all skin types and can be used clean on the skin for extra high protection.
