Legumes have been the staple food for millennia in i.a. Central and South America. In Denmark, legumes are not used to any great extent, but for vegetarians they are an important source of protein as a substitute for meat. Nutritionally, legumes are healthy, low-fat ingredients that contain a lot of dietary fiber, minerals and vitamins.

Instructions

The beans are soaked for 10-12 hours. The water is poured off and the beans are boiled in fresh water for at least ½ hour. Is suitable for both hot and cold dishes.
