Biogan - Organic Black Nerone Rice - 500G

These black Nerone rices originate from Italy. The black rice has been known in China for a long time and is called ""Emperor's rice"" or ""Forbidden rice"" since the harvest was originally saved only for the emperor and his court.
The black rice is still considered an exquisite delicacy. A natural black rice is a bit of a rarity. High content of fibre, micronutrients and antioxidants. The latter can be seen in the black color.
Good firm rice kernel that retains the structure well. Must not appear creamy like classic risotto.
Boil covered in lightly salted water for 45-50 minutes, strain off residual water. Cooking time can be reduced by soaking.
Nice just with a little oil and flakes of parmesan. Can also be used mixed with salad or in other types of rice. You can also use them cooked as an alternative to the core in your home baked goods.
