DESCRIPTION:
Organic Manuka flower honey from New Zealand. TAKE 25+
From Sonnentor® (AT) The Maori, New Zealand natives, have always known the extraordinary properties of this honey. It originates from the Manuka myrtle, also called tea tree or just Manuka, which grows in the mountainous regions of New Zealand. It has a strong taste, smells very resinous and has a delicate caramel brown color, and it charms all the senses with its slightly mint-like finish. Our beekeepers recommend: Manuka honey is best eaten on an empty stomach - pure or dissolved in lukewarm water.
NOTE: Honey contains heat-sensitive enzymes, it must not be heated above 40 ° C or stirred in hot liquids and food.
The quality index is TA 25+ (total activity) - And what is that?
“A high MGO factor often goes against our basic understanding of honey quality. Fresh Manuka honey has MGO values between 60 and 150 mg / kg immediately after harvesting honey. Higher values are often obtained with longer storage times above 37 ° Celsius. Manuka honey is available from 250+ to 1000+ MGO. The higher the MGO factor, the higher the price at which the honey can be sold. But while storage increases the MGO value, the overall activity of honey decreases. In addition, methylglyoxal can be produced artificially. Enough reasons to go for the TA factor! ” (Quote: SONNENTOR®) Store dry and protected from heat. Natural color changes may occur.
