Celtic unrefined sea salt is considered the finest salt in the world. It contains no microplastics. And it is most likely the most mineral-rich salt. Common white, refined table salt is, compared to Celtic sea salt, pure poison. There, they have removed all the important minerals naturally found in the sea salt, and basically only sodium chloride is left.
It is the same with the white sugar, where all minerals and other substances have been removed from the various types of raw sugar that exist. In Celtic salt, the sodium chloride content is around 85%, while it can be much higher in industrial, refined salt, around 98%.
Celtic sea salt is light gray and comes from unspoilt areas in France. The salt is sun- and wind-dried and harvested in Brittany. It is guaranteed free of pesticides, herbicides and harmful chemicals and according to tests is also the only unrefined sea salt without microsites in it. Above all, it is very mineral rich and an excellent mineral supplement, free of heavy metals. It contains a number of important trace minerals, such as magnesium, potassium, selenium, copper, zinc, iron and manganese. Celtic salt has a much higher content of trace minerals (15%) than Himalayan salt (4,1%).
The main use of salt is of course in cooking, but you can also put a teaspoon of salt in a large glass of water and let it dissolve naturally for an hour or more. When it is completely dissolved, you can add a little more grains until the solution is saturated. Then use a few tablespoons of this in plain water a day. This salt does not have the harsh saltiness of regular table salt and is good to drink. The solution will keep for several days in the refrigerator, as it is disinfected by the salt.
Celtic sea salt is gray rather than white as it is not bleached. The salt is also moist. Use it as it is in cooking or grind it in a salt mill. Store the salt in a glass container with a tight lid.
